Pres. Duterte Appoints Luli Arroyo as National Museum Board Chairperson
LULI ARROYO – Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte appointed Luli Arroyo as the chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the National Museum.
Recently, lots of changes in government happened. Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has appointed a new chief-of-staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in the person of Lieutenant General Benjamin Madrigal Jr.
Prior to that, the 73-year-old President has decided to place the Bureau of Customs (BOC) under a temporary military control. The current Customs commissioner is AFP’s Rey Guerrero.
Former Customs commissioner Isidro Lapeña was moved by Pres. Duterte to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). He is facing graft over missing containers when he was the BOC commissioner.
Recently, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has appointed a chairperson for the National Museum’s Board of Trustees. The Chief Executive appointed Luli Arroyo, the only daughter of former Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
Arroyo is now the House Speaker of the House of Representatives. She replaced former house speaker Pantaleon Alvarez after the 3rd State of the Nation Address (SONA) of Pres. Duterte.
Based on a recent report on ABS-CBN News citing Dharel Placido’s post, Luli Arroyo who was recently appointed by Pres. Duterte as the chairperson of the National Museum’s Board of Trustees will replace Ramon R. Del Rosario.
The appointment letter of the younger Arroyo was already signed by Pres. Duterte.
Based on the report, previously, Luli Arroyo was also elected as the president of the Congressional Spouses Foundation Inc. or CSFI. It was former Pres. Gloria Arroyo who administered the oath of office of the CSFI officers.
According to a report, the former President has congratulated her only daughter and the other CSFI officers during her remarks. She also expressed their gratitude to them for “putting together the Congressional spouses again”.
With regards to Pres. Duterte appointing Luli Arroyo as the chairperson of the National Museum’s Board of Trustees, neither Luli nor former Pres. Gloria Arroyo has given a statement.
