Pres. Duterte’s Absence in Bonifacio Day Celebration in Caloocan Confirmed, Tanks Were Spotted in the Area

TANKS – Several tanks of the military were spotted in Caloocan City amid the absence of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte in the celebration of the Bonifacio Day.

Today, November 30, 2018, the whole Philippines celebrates the birthday of one of the heroes of this country, Gat Andres Bonifacio. The Bonifacio Day is a holiday in the country and several activities are held in line with it.

In Caloocan City, a Bonifacio Day celebration is held and military tanks were spotted in the place. Based on the social media post of GMA News on Twitter, several military tanks reportedly scattered at the Bonifacio Monument Circle.

Most likely, military tanks were there as they were ordered to secure the place. It continues amid the absence of Pres. Duterte in the Bonifacio Day celebration in Caloocan City.

Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte was supposedly expected to attend the Bonifacio Day celebration in Caloocan City where military tanks were spotted.

However, based on a recent report on Remate, the 73-year-old Chief Executive had to fly to Mindanao to fix the problem regarding the “insurgency”. Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdia replaced him at the event.

The President will supposedly be there for the wreath-laying ceremony in line with the Bonifacio Day celebration. It was Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo who confirmed the President’s absence and stated the reason behind it.

Based on the report, Panelo also shared that as early as 8:00 o’clock in the morning, the Caloocan city admin was already informed that Pres. Duterte will not be able to attend the wreath-laying ceremony.
