Netizen Slams Gamot Program of PhilHealth Over Alleged Poor Implementation
A male netizen expressed frustration and criticized the Gamot program of PhilHealth due to its alleged poor system and implementation.
Recently, Van Ybiernas, a Facebook user, shared his opinion about the Gamot program of PhilHealth. The post immediately went viral on social media and gained mixed reactions from the online community.
According to Ybiernas the program allows members to claim medicines worth up to P20,000 from accredited pharmacies as long as they have a prescription from a PhilHealth-accredited doctor. In his case, he said the prescription came from their barangay doctor.

At first, he believed the process would be simple and helpful. However, he later became disappointed after learning that the prescription could allegedly only be used in two specific accredited pharmacies in their area.
The situation became more frustrating when one of the pharmacies reportedly told him that they never had the prescribed medicine available. Because of this, the netizen questioned how patients could fully benefit from the program if some accredited pharmacies supposedly did not carry the medicines included in the approved list.
The viral post also raised concerns about the accessibility of medicines for patients who rely on government healthcare assistance. Several netizens agreed with the complaint and shared similar experiences involving unavailable medicines and limited pharmacy options.

“Kagaguhan itong Gamot program ng PhilHealth.
Ganito sistema.
