Latest Updates On Typhoon Tomas Released By PAGASA

The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest updates about Typhoon Tomas as it moves north maintaining its strength.

On Saturday (November 24, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest news about Typhoon Man-yi with local name Tomas.

Typhoon Tomas entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and was last spotted at 1,400 kilometers east of Cagayan province’s Tuguegarao City maintaining its strength heading north parallel to the Luzon.

PAGASA said that Tomas maintained its maximum sustained winds of 145 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 180 kph moving 15 kph at a north direction.

However, the typhoon was not expected to make a landfall in any parts of the country or to affect the weather.

Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon affecting the weather condition in northern Luzon would bring cloudy weather conditions with light rains over Cagayan Valley Region.

Partly cloudy to cloudy weather conditions with isolated rains would affect the Ilocos and Cordillera Administrative Regions as well as the rest of the country.

The coastal water conditions over northern Luzon would be moderate to rough while the rest of Luzon would have moderate to rough waters.

The surrounding sea conditions over the Visayas and Mindanao would be slight to moderate.
