Director Paul Soriano Admits He Owns Harana Surf Resort In Siargao
PAUL SORIANO – Director Paul Soriano admitted on an interview that he owned the Harana Surf Resort in Siargao.
Filipino commercial and film director Paul Soriano is also the husband of the Pinoy Big Brother host Toni Gonzaga. He confessed she is his first love and inspiration.
The Ultimate Heartthrob director is known for his movies Kid Kulafu, Dukot, and A Journey Home among others.
Last 2017, Soriano had an MMFF entry for his surf romance film titled Siargao which was starred by Jericho Rosales, Erich Gonzales, and Jasmin Curtis-Smith.
Paul Soriano’s movie Siargao was set at the breathtaking surf island of Siargao, an island a bit away from Surigao del Norte in Caraga.
Based on a report from Philstar, Soriano expressed that the island is a very special place for him. He shared that he visited Siargao a couple years back and he instantly fell in love with the place.
“It just brings out the simplicity in you, to be free, raw and laidback”
“It renews your mind, keeps you creative and allows the heart to breathe and to love,” he said.

According to the report, Paul Soriano admitted he owns a beach resort in Siargao and named it Harana Surf Resort.
Direk Paul confessed that he thought of buying that place with some advice of his friends Ian Sermonia and Mike Medina. They partnered up and the resort became a success because of them.
“Ian Sermonia and Mike Medina who really took the initiative from Day 1 and did a great job with Harana,” he said
Soriano said Sermonia and Medina also helped and assisted the whole production team in the making of his film there in Siargao.

Paul Soriano’s movie Siargao won MMFF’s Best Director, Best Cinematography, and Best Editing. His undeniable great talent in directing and his love for the island inspired him to create such a good movie.
