There could be a possibility that John Lloyd Cruz will participate in the tribute concert for OPM legend Rico J. Puno.
Rico is supposed to hold a concert with comediennes Marissa Sanchez and Giselle Sanchez on November 25 with the title Music and Laughter at The Theatre at Solaire, Parañaque City.
On the other hand, his passing away unexpectedly made slight changes to the upcoming concert.
Based on the article published in PEP, the concert will still happen but without Rico J. Puno anymore.
According to Marissa Sanchez, the OPM legend told them before that he was asking John Lloyd Cruz to be one of the guests in their concert.
“Sinasabi sa amin ni Rico noon na papakiusapan niya si John Lloyd na umapir sa concert namin,” Marissa shared.
She also said, “Close silang dalawa, mahal na mahal niya si Lloydie.”
It can be recalled that John Lloyd Cruz and Rico J. Puno worked together in Kapamilya sitcom Home Sweetie Home.
Meanwhile, Marissa also said that they also asked Matteo Guidicelli to appear in the concert.
Rico J. Puno was also the one who invited the singer-actor.
“Si Matteo, tinawagan pa niya noong nag-presscon kami, e. Sabi naman ni Matteo, walang problema basta maayos lang ang schedule niya,” the comedienne said.
She added that the veteran singer have been doing follow-ups to his request to John Lloyd and Matteo.
Marissa is hoping that the younger male celebrities would grant the wish of the late OPM legend.
“Pero sana, mapagbigyan nila dahil alam ko, wish talaga ni Rico ‘yan,” she said, based on the article.
