Rico J. Puno was born Enrico de Jesus Puno on February 13, 1953. He is 65 years old now.

He is one of the pioneers in promoting the original Filipino music. Aside from singing, Rico also ventured in acting and hosting.

The veteran singer is also known to incorporate Tagalog lyrics to American songs. That trend came from him and he sang The Way We Were and other songs with Tagalog lyrics.

He is also known to add the word “baby” in the lyrics of the songs.

He is also tagged as The Total Performer. His shows will never be complete without his trademark adult rumor.

Just like other celebrities, Rico J. Puno also crossed over to the world of politics. He was a Councilor in Makati City from 1998 until his last term in 2007.

In 2010, he tried his luck as he ran for Vice Mayor but he was not successful. Again, he ran for Councilor in 2016 and he is supposed to be seeking his second term this coming 2019 elections.
