Personalities from the Philippine music industry are set to hold a tribute concert for OPM legend Rico J. Puno on the last night of his wake.
His unexpected death brought grief to his fellow celebrities in the entertainment industry.
Until the last of his wake, those who had been with him throughout his career in show business are paying homage to his legacy.
Based on the article published in Pang-Masa, Rico J. Puno’s last night of wake on November 7 will be a very special one.
His fellow singers are set to do a concert to reminisce his memories and contributions in the industry of music in the country.
Concert King Martin Nievera, balladeers Ogie Alcasid and Erik Santos are among the singers who are set to perform.
Mr. Pure Energy Gary Valenciano and birit diva Angeline Quinto, hopefully can join them too. However, it is still not confirmed because of their prior engagements.
“Baka si Tito Gary (Valenciano) rin, pero inaayos pa ang schedule. Si Angeline (Quinto), sana puwede rin,” his daughter Janine Puno said.
On November 8, Thursday, Rico J. Puno will be brought to his grave and it is expected that emotional goodbyes will flood for him.
That schedule was set because his three other daughters from the US will arrive on Wednesday morning, based on the article.
The OPM legend is supposed to do a concert together with comedienne Marissa Sanchez and Giselle Sanchez. He was preparing for that already when he bid goodbye unexpectedly.
Though that will never happen again and his fans will no longer see him live on stage, the tribute concert for him will definitely serve as a heartfelt appreciation of his life.
