Daryl Ong received fiery words from Darren Espanto’s father regarding his tweet about “being gay”
Don Espanto, the father of Darren Espanto, slammed Daryl Ong for his tweet about “being gay” and being honest about it.
This was posted amid the “gayness issue” between Darren and fellow The Voice Kids Philippines alumna JK Labajo.
JK’s Twitter account posted “gayness as its finest” and was tagged to Darren. This was the start of the controversy.
Daryl Ong said that there is nothing wrong in being gay and people should not make a fuss about it.
For former The Voice Philippines contestant, admitting one’s true identity has a liberating feeling.
In line with this thoughts from the RnB singer, Don Espanto disagreed.
The father of Darren said that the post of Daryl was one of those nonsensical messages after his son expressed his sentiments on social media.
Don Espanto added that the singer is just meddling with the issue because he knows nothing about the whole story.
He also stressed out that his son is being true to himself that is why he is retaliating to the false allegations.
Furthermore, Don said that it is already enough that the issue is already 4 years and it just involves the same perpetrator.
For the parent, it is just a natural mechanism of a human being to defend himself and his son is now old enough to do that.
