Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio Puts End To Rumored Senate Run as she Files her Candidacy
SARA DUTERTE – Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio filed her candidacy and put a total end to rumors that she will run for a seat in the Senate in the 2019 elections.
In surveys for possible senatorial candidates in the 2019 mid-term elections, one of the names that usually appear is the name of presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
Mayor Inday Sara is the daughter of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte with his former wife Elizabeth Zimmerman. She is married to Attorney Manases Carpio.
Visibly, many people would support the candidacy of Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio in case she will run for a seat in the Senate in the 2019 mid-term elections.

Recently, incumbent politicians and people who aspire for a seat in the government has started filing their candidacies for the upcoming election next year. One of those who has filed her candidacy is Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.
The filing of candidacy of the presidential daughter put an end to rumors that she will run for a seat in the Senate. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, she filed as reelectionist mayor of Davao City.
Mayor Inday Sara was accompanied by her husband Atty. Manases Carpio when she filed her certificate of candidacy (COC). With regards to her running-mate, the presidential daughter has no direct response.
“Ang discussion ni Baste at saka ni President Duterte ang inaantay,” the presidential daughter said based on the report.
Baste Duterte is the younger brother of Mayor Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio. He is vocal that he is not totally inclined to politics but expressed willingness in case he will be needed in the public service.
