Diwata Gets Arrested Without Warning
DIWATA – Social media star and vlogger Diwata surprised fans after revealing he was arrested due to alleged non-compliance with his food business.
Vlogger Diwata recently disclosed that he was arrested due to alleged “non-compliance” involving his pares business, leaving many of his followers surprised and concerned. In a video uploaded Wednesday morning, Diwata openly shared his experience.
“Nakulong ako. Bakit? May warrant na naman ako,” Diwata said in the clip, sounding both confused and frustrated over what happened.

The content creator, whose real name is Deo Jarito Balbuena, explained that he did not receive any prior notice regarding the matter. According to him, there was no warning or subpoena served before authorities carried out the arrest. This, he said, made the situation even more disheartening.
“Nakakalungkot lang noh. Ganyan yung nangyari. Pwede namang ayusin kung may pagkakamali ako. Pero bakit warrant agad?” he said.
He emphasized that he is not a large-scale entrepreneur and is simply trying to earn an honest living through his small food venture. “Tsaka hindi naman ako big-time na negosyante. Tamang-tama nga lang pangkain ang kinikita ko, minsan abono pa,” he added.
While Diwata chose not to provide specific details about the case due to its ongoing nature, he revealed that he was able to secure temporary freedom. After spending 24 hours in detention, he posted bail amounting to P60,000.
The vlogger also expressed his broader sentiments about the challenges he feels ordinary Filipinos face. “Ang hirap maging Pilipino sa totoo lang. Lumalaban ka naman nang patas. Hindi ka naman namemerwisyo, dumidiskarte ka sa sarili mo para mabuhay ka pero bakit ganun?” he said.

This is not the first time Diwata has faced legal trouble. In April 2024, he was arrested in connection with a 2018 case involving charges of slight physical injuries after he allegedly hit a construction worker in Pasay City.
Diwata first gained widespread attention when his pares business became popular for offering generously loaded servings at affordable prices. His growing fame eventually opened doors in show business, including a role in the drama “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo.”
