Ogie Diaz believes Gretchen Fullido and he is taking her side.
The famous show business reporter Ogie Diaz believes Gretchen Fullido after the latter filed case against two ABS-CBN execs.
Ogie Diaz, comedian and showbiz reporter, speaks up after Gretchen Fullido filed a sexual harassment case against Cheryl C. Favila, former ABS-CBN News Executive, and Maricar P. Asprec, ABS-CBN News Segment Producer.
In a previous report, Fullido accused the two TV network executives of sending her text messages with “sexual innuendos” loaded with “sexual favors”. And when she rejected their advances, they made it hard for her to work effectively as a reporter.
Meanwhile, the lawyer of Cheryl Favila and Maricar Asprec has cited that the complaints of Fullido are baseless and a “classic example of discrimination” of the LGBTQ community where both of his clients are members. They insisted that they are wrongly accused.
Malicious text messages have surfaced as well. And Jay Sonza even revealed that people should “expect ABS-CBN to launch a massive vilification campaign vs. Fullido” as this “has always been their brand when an employee seeks legal, labor or judicial redress.”
And now, another reporter from the industry takes the side of Fullido and believes in her. Ogie Diaz stated in his post on Facebook, “I am for Gretchen. At naniniwala ako sa kanya. So, ipaglaban mo ang iyong karapatan, Gretchen!”
Also, he shared that he is not going to return to the early morning show Umagang Kay Ganda for her did not leave the show but fired out of it instead.
“Hindi ako umalis. Tinanggal ako nu’ng Oct. 2010 ni Maria Ressa (head ng news and current affairs that time) at nu’ng EP noon na si Cheryl Favila (na idinemanda ni Gretchen Fullido), dahil ang rason nila, tumatanggap daw ako ng PR envelopes sa mga pinupuntahan kong showbiz presscons. Ayun, wala na sila sa ABS-CBN, ako, awa ng Diyos, nandiyan pa rin at may existing network contract,” he said.
