MOCHA USON – The statement of resigned PCOO Asec. Mocha Uson to Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte over her resignation was revealed.

Recently, Mocha Uson left her post as the assistant secretary of the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) headed by Secretary Martin Andanar.

Uson is one of the vocal supporters of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. However, she got hooked to several controversies prompting some people to launch a campaign for her removal from the government.

The viral federalism jingle video of Mocha Uson and blogger Drew Olivar is one of those that has greatly ignited the calls for the latter’s resignation.

Yesterday, many were surprised with the resignation of Mocha Uson as the PCOO Asec. It gained different reactions from the people. Some were thankful about it while her supporters continuously express their support to her.

Uson sent a letter to Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte over her resignation as the PCOO Asec. Based on a recent report in ABS-CBN News, in her letter, the resigned PCOO Asec. thanked the President for the “once in a lifetime opportunity” given to her.

“Recent events have put me in a position where I am being held responsible for Congress withholding the 2019 PCOO budget.

I do not wish to cause such burden to the office, hence I am hereby notifying you of my resignation effective 1 October 2018,” she said

Based on the report, Mocha Uson described her resignation as the PCOO Asec. as a “sacrifice”. She stressed that it is to save the budget of the office.

Because of her absence on the deliberations, the House of Representatives has deferred the proposed budget of the PCOO twice. The said proposal amounts to P1.41 billion.
