Trillanes Amnesty: Makati Court Did Not Release Warrant of Arrest
MAKATI COURT – Over the amnesty issue, Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150 did not release an arrest warrant against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV is on the pursuit of proving the validity of the amnesty granted to him. It was in 2011 when then-President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III granted him amnesty.
Currently, his amnesty is being questioned and it was revoked by Duterte Proclamation 572. Malacañang expressed that the Senator failed to meet the requirements.
For his part, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV is firm that no evidence can be found against him. He is currently staying in the custody of the Senate.
Recently, a report regarding the amnesty issue of Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV broke in. Based on the social media post of GMA News, another Makati Court did not release a warrant of arrest against the former Navy lieutenant.
It is stated in the post that there is no arrest warrant from the Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150 for the Senator. The Makati RTC Branch 148 also did not release an arrest warrant against him.
