No Arrest Warrant Issued by Makati Court Against Sen. Trillanes
TRILLANES – A Makati Court did not issue a warrant of arrest against Senator Antonio Trillanes IV.
Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV is currently surrounded by issues concerning his amnesty grant. The said amnesty was granted to him by then-President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III in 2011.
Recently, Duterte Proclamation 572 voided the amnesty granted to Sen. Trillanes. According to Malacañang, he failed to comply with the requirements. The Senator is firm that no evidence can be found against him.
Based on a recent social media post on the Twitter page of Remate, a Makati Court did not issue an arrest warrant against Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV. The said court is the Regional Trial Court Branch 148.
Currently, the Senator is still staying in the custody of the Senate. His decision goes parallel with the advice of his fellow lawmakers.
