Habagat To Bring Rains Over Parts of Luzon & Visayas, PAGASA Says
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon or Habagat was expected to bring rains over parts of Luzon and Visayas.
On Thursday (September 6, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates in the country.
PAGASA said that another low-pressure area (LPA) was spotted at 820 km East of Basco, Batanes.
The weather bureau also reported that the southwest monsoon would affect the weather condition over several areas in Luzon and Visayas.
The weather agency said that Habagat would bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Cavite Batangas, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, and western and eastern Visayas.
The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
Meanwhile, southern Luzon and the Visayas would have moderate to rough coastal water condition.
The rest of the country was expected to have light to moderate coastal waters.
