DFA Sec. Cayetano Writes Another Open Letter for Ex-Pres. Aquino
CAYETANO – Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano wrote another open letter for former President Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III over the West Philippine Sea issue.
Recently, Foreign Affairs Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano and former Pres. Noynoy Aquino were involved in exchanges of statements on the territorial dispute between the Philippines and China over the West Philippine Sea.
Undeniably, despite the decision of the Arbitral Tribunal siding on the Philippines over the matter, China did not step back on the issue. It was during the start of the administration of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte when the ruling came out.
In line with the matter, DFA Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano, in an open latter, listed some questions for former Pres. Noynoy Aquino. His questions mentioned Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and former DFA Sec. Albert del Rosario.

Former Pres. Noynoy Aquino responded to the open letter of Foreign Affairs Sec. Cayetano. According to him, the answers to the latter’s question can be found in Google. He stressed that the actions that were done, his statements, and the positions of the parties over the matter can be found by searching it online.

Recently, on his Facebook account, the Foreign Affairs Secretary posted another open letter for the former President. According to the former, it’s done after “a thorough Google search”.
Cayetano stated in his 2nd open letter to Aquino that the former President knows very well that his questions cannot be answered by Google search. According to him, it only led to more queries and it allegedly “revealed far more serious problems”.
The DFA Secretary is requesting the former President to enlighten the nation by sharing his decisions and what happened which led to the situation in the West Philippine Sea now. He listed his questions for the former President. Here is the full post of the Foreign Affairs Secretary:
