Another LPA May Enter PH Within Next 24 To 48 Hours, PAGASA Says

The state weather bureau PAGASA another Low-Pressure Area is expected to enter the Philippines within next 24 to 48 hours while monsoon rains continue.

On Tuesday (July 24, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released the latest weather update affecting the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that monsoon rains brought by enhanced southwest monsoon will continue to affect Western Luzon particularly over Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro provinces and Palawan.

The weather agency also said occasional rains are expected over Ilocos region, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, and the rest of CALABARZON.

PAGASA weather officials said that another low-pressure area was spotted 1,555 kilometers east of northern Luzon heading to the country.

The weather disturbance may enter the Philippine area of Responsibility (PAR) within two to three days.

The new LPA will be named “Karding” after it developed into a tropical depression but not likely to make a landfall.
