PAGASA Releases Update Over Tropical Storm Inday

TROPICAL STORM INDAY – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released a weather update.

Recently, Tropical Depression ‘Henry’ caused cancellation of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) in certain areas on Monday and Tuesday. Certain flights were also canceled due to the bad weather condition. The said Tropical Depression left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on July 17.

Following the exit of Tropical Depression Henry, Tropical Storm Inday entered. Based on a report, several local government units have declared the suspension of cl(–foul word(s) removed–) due to the bad weather caused by the storm.

As per another report, Typhoon Storm Inday was previously spotted 840 km East of Basco, Batanes with a maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Recently, PAGASA has released an update over Tropical Storm Inday. In its bulletin, the weather bureau stated that Luzon is expected to experience rains until Saturday as ‘Inday’ intensified this morning.

The Tropical Storm is expected to bring heavy rainfall over the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Bataan, Zambales, and the Ilocos Region. Light to moderate rains is expected in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.

Based on the report, no tropical cyclone signal has been raised in any part of the country but the residents are advised to be prepared against the possibility of landslides and flood. The weather bureau also warned the public from taking sea travels due to the weather condition.

Tropical Storm Inday is expected to leave PAR on Sunday morning, July 22.
