Latest Update On Bagyong Inday (July 19) Released By PAGASA

The state weather bureau PAGASA has released the latest weather update regarding Bagyong Inday moving almost stationary inside PAR.

On Thursday (July 19, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has released the latest update on Tropical Storm Inday (Ampil).

Inday has already intensified into tropical storm and was last spotted at 840 km East of Basco, Batanes.

Bagyong Inday

The tropical storm has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Inday enhances the southwest monsoon that would bring moderate to occasional heavy rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga and Bulacan.

Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna and the rest of Central Luzon  would experience scattered rains until Friday (July 20, 2018).

Here are the forecast positions of “Bagyong Inday”:

  • Thursday evening (July 19) – 880 km East of Basco, Batanes
  • Friday evening (July 20) – 845 km East Northeast of Basco, Batanes
  • Saturday evening (July 21) – 835 km North Northeast of Basco, Batanes (Outside PAR).
  • Sunday evening (July 22) – 1,055 km North of Basco, Batanes

PAGASA also warned the residents living in low-lying and mountainous areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods and landslides.
