Gilas Pilipinas player June Mar Fajardo has finally revealed the reason for not involving on FIBA World Cup brawl with Australia.
FIBA World Cup has been the most discussed topics not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world after Gilas Pilipinas had an awful brawl against Australian Boomers.
Gilas Pilipinas receives various reactions and negative feedback from the basketball fans and popular personalities because of the incident.
Nine players of the Philippine national basketball team and four Australian players were ejected from the game at the Philippine Arena.
Recently, the Gilas player June Mar Fajardo has finally revealed the reason for not involving in the brawl during the game.
The 4-time MVP explained that joining the brawl will only worsen the situation as he remains calm and slowly walked out of the court.
The basketball player also said that he remembers what his mother always told him.
“Tutuusin kung gusto ko makipag-away pwede eh, nandun ako sa gitna pero ayoko ng ganun. Isa pa, nandoon yung mama ko. Tumingin nga ako sa mama ko parang, namutla yung mama ko. Hindi sa lahat ng bagay pinapairal yun. Kasi yun yung laging nireremind ng parents ko na kung pwede mong iwasan ang gulo, umiwas ka,” Fajardo said.
