Here’s an update regarding the condition of Jeron Teng and 2 other players after stabbing incident.
JERON TENG – Here’s some detail regarding the condition of Alaska rookie Jeron Teng and 2 of his former teammates from De La Salle University following involvement in a stabbing incident.
Based on a previous article, Jeron Teng along with Rain or Shine’s Norbert Torres and former La Salle guard Thomas Torres got involved in a brawl leading to a stabbing incident in Bonifacio Global City.
The incident left the basketball players wounded as they are currently in a medical institution for recovery.
This has happened outside a bar where the players were walking when they were called out by the suspects who were identified as 40-year-old Filipino-American Edmar Manalo Lacanlale and 37-year-old Willard Balisi.
After being called out, the three players confronted the suspects which boiled down to a heated argument eventually leading to a stabbing incident.
Jeric Teng, Jeron’s brother, said, “He was very lucky dahil pwede matamaan ang vital organs pero buti wala. Pero ‘yun nga, lahat sila may mga deep cuts.”
Quinito Henson on Twitter also indicated, “God saved Jeron Thomas Norbert yesterday-Jeron had 3 stab wounds-1 in back missed lung, 1 in side missed heart, 1 also in side missed kidney-no movement in 4 wks then rehab-Thomas out 4-6 wks then rehab for wounds in both arms-Norbert cut left arm-thank you Lord for protection.”

One netizen has then commented over the incident which could have been fatal, “Good thing nothing extremely serious happened to Jeron Teng and the other two. Tough break for Alaska, though. They’re gonna be missing key players for reasons outside basketball with Abueva also out due to personal issues.”
