MEGHAN MARKLE – The House of Givenchy shared details of the royal wedding gown of the now Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.
Indeed, the House of Givenchy is deeply honored to be a part of a historical and royal affair as its new Artistic Director Clare Waight Keller custom-designed the wedding gown worn by Meghan Markle to the Royal Wedding last May 19 in London, United Kingdom.
“It is truly an honor to have been given the opportunity to closely collaborate with Meghan Markle on such a remarkable occasion,” Keller says in a statement.
The dress, as Keller has explained, is a “timeless piece that would emphasize the iconic codes of Givenchy throughout its history” and “convey modernity through sleek lines and sharp cuts.”
The dress’ focus is the graphics open bateau neckline which gracefully emphasizes the shoulder and the slender sculptured waist.
In a refined modernity, slim three-quarter sleeves added a note to it.
The line of the dress was extended behind the back where the long train flows in soft round fold as cushioned by an underskirt in triple skirt organza.

“In contrast, the delicate floral beauty of the veil was a vision Meghan and I shared, a special gesture embracing the commonwealth flora, ascending the circumference of the silk tulle.”
The veil is five meters long with the trims having hand-embroidered flowers in silk threads and organza.
The meticulous sewing took the workers to perfect it in hundreds of hours where they have to wash their hands every 30 minutes to keep the tulle and threads pristine as based on a report from Philstar.
