The event comes as the company faces intense significant scrutiny over personal data privacy including Congressional hearings.

As per the report, on April 30, Twitter user Jackie Stokes posted an unconfirmed screenshot of her supposed Tinder conversation with the website’s security engineer.

Stokes publicized her personal concern over the potential abuse of the employee’s privileged access of stalking women on social media after the latter jestingly claims of being a ‘professional stalker’.

With regards to the incident, Alex Stamos, Chief Security of Facebook, guaranteed that the suspected employee was immediately fired from the company amidst the complaints. A thorough investigation was conducted prior to the termination.

According to the Security Chief, the company has programmed and automated systems intended to identify and prevent abuse from authorized employees.

“Employees who abuse these controls will be fired — period,” Stamos said.
