Malacañang Palace Officially Releases EO Against “Endo”
Malacañang Palace has officially released the Executive Order against the contratualization or end of contract in the country.
On Tuesday (May 01, 2018), President Rodrigo Duterte has signed the executive order (EO) that prohibits the illegal labor contracting but still allow some forms of contractualization.
The “endo” is considered as illegal labor contracting, which is a strategy used by numerous companies in the Philippines to avoid the regularization of the employees.
Labor groups and some members of the business communities got disappointed by the EO signed by President Duterte.
President Duterte fulfilled his campaign promise to end the contractualization and “endo”.
Recently, the official Facebook page of Inquirer has uploaded the photos of the Executive Order No. 51 on “endo,” which was officially released by Malacañang.
However, some social media users that the EO No. 51 signed by Duterte was just copied from the labor code book.
Here are some of the comments:
Marcos Juan Garia Ortiz: “It is just a reiteration of Labor Code at walang nagbago.. galing manloko ni Duterte tsk tsk.. parang pumirma ka ng EO that prohibits foreigner to own land in the country even though it is already provided in thr law.. Lakas makaloko.. yung mga DDS naman tuwang tuwa palibhasa walang alam.. eh maliwanag na panloloko lang ito ni Digong..”
Dan Gene: “truth, just copied from the labor code book”
Lean Dimailig: “Ngayon ko lang nalaman na ang “ILLEGAL” ay dapat pa palang i-declare na bawal. The best and the brightest talaga!”
Jemyr John Añover: “Papogi points para lang masabi na pumirma ng EO.”
Willet Araña: “anong bago???”
