Bus Conductor Who Allegedly Humiliates Passenger Faces Complaints
A bus conductor who allegedly humiliated and refused to grant the request of its passenger is now facing complaints.
The bus collector of Diamond Star bus identified as Ronald Insiong is now facing complaint after allegedly humiliating a passenger who requested to let her children sit on her lap for having insufficient money for the fare.
The passenger who had been identified as Melanie Villafranca together with her three children was able to film the incident.
Villafranca and her children were heading home to Quezon City from the airport after her husband just left.
She politely asked the bus ticket collector to allow her two younger children to sit on her because their money was not enough.
Unfortunately, the bus conductor allegedly raised his voice towards the passenger and had an exchange of heated arguments.
“Sabi niya ‘Ay hindi, ang lalaki ninyo’… Napahiya ako at di ako mapakali. Naghihintay ako ng chance na makausap siya in a nice way pero di siya natinag. Pinapahiya niya kami,” the passenger said.
The commuter pleaded the collector to give their money back and just get off the bus but the conductor did not allow them because they were already given a ticket.
The passenger asked help from the mobile patrol of EDSA-Ayala police and headed to the precinct.
However, the bus conductor refused to give any statement regarding the incident.
The management of Diamond Star Bus said they investigate the incident and expressed their willingness to apologize to the passenger’s family.
