Pinoy Televangelist Apollo Quiboloy’s Church Under Investigation Over Alleged Human Trafficking
Apollo Quiboloy’s church known as Kingdom of Jesus Christ Church is now under investigation over alleged human trafficking.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigations is currently investigating the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, The Name Above Every Name, Inc, which was led by the Filipino televangelist Apollo Quiboloy due to the accusations of human trafficking.
The investigation focuses on complaints that the church members were sent to Hawaii to sell food products as part of the aggressive fundraising activity of the church.
Several witnesses and alleged victim revealed that a punishment awaits for the members who will fail to sell enough goods. The punishments were not limited to hair shaving and physical violence.
Kingdom’s business manager Felina Salinas was also facing sexual harassment charges after he was arrested in February for allegedly attempting to smuggle about $350, 000 cash out of the United States.
In February, Quiboloy and his lawyer Attorney Israelito Torreon were arrested and detained in Hawaii to confiscated $350,000 cash, which was later claimed by Salinas.
However, Torreon did not acknowledge Salinas as their church member.
