Pope Francis of Vatican City said that he was ashamed that younger generations would inherit a shattered world.

On Good Friday (March 30, 2018), Pope Francis had his speech at the end of the traditional Good Friday Stations of the Cross procession.

During his speech, the 81-year-old pontiff ashamed that the younger generations would inherit a world, which was ruined by wars and division.

“Devoured by egotism in which the young, the sick, the old are marginalized”, Pope Francis said quoted by ABS-CBN.

Around 20, 000 devotees have gathered around the Rome’s Colosseum for the religious activity commemorating the path walked by Jesus during his crucifixion.

The Italian authorities have set a tight security deploying about 10, 000 officers to ensure the safety in Rome for any possible terrorist attack.
