Parent Blames Teacher Over Child’s Death After Humiliating Him For Non-Payment Of Tuition
The parent of the student who committed suicide blames the teacher for humiliating their child for non-payment of tuition, which allegedly caused his death.
An 18-year-old student in Cagayan took his own life after failing to pay the tuition fee and wasn’t able to graduate.
The student identified as Raymond was allegedly humiliated by his own teacher in front of the entire class after failing to pay his tuition.
Mela Sergia, Raymond’s mother said that the teacher humiliated her son telling him that he could not graduate in high school, which allegedly prompted her child to commit suicide.
Mela narrated that last Wednesday, Raymond told her that he needed to pay his tuition fee. They were able to make a partial payment but still not enough to pay the full tuition.
There are also some reports sharing Raymond’s text message that he would be disappointed if he could not graduate this school year.
However, either the teacher or the school management was not yet giving any statement regarding the incident.
