Drug Suspect in Bacolod Burns Himself to Escape Arresting Officers
A drug suspect in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental has burned himself hoping to escape the arresting officers during a raid.
Nowadays, the problem on illegal drugs become one of the major concerns of the government not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world.
In 2016, President Rodrigo Duterte has launched the anti-illegal drug campaign hoping to resolve the problem on illegal drugs and reduce the rate of criminality in the country.
Unfortunately, there are still some personalities who still rely on using or even selling illegal drugs despite the drug war launched by the Duterte administration.
Recently, the Facebook page “Aksyon Radyo Bacolod” has reported the two personalities arrested during a drug raid.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) have conducted a drug raid operation leading to the arrest of two suspects.
The authorities raided the residence of the High-Value Target Ramie Poja at Sibucao, Barangay Banago in Bacolod City.
One of the suspects identified as Roberto Rodriguez pours kerosene throughout his body and burned himself trying to escape the authorities.
The authorities recovered numbers of ammunition from Rodriguez and still conducting drug raid operations.
