PCOO Asec. Mocha Uson’s Award From USTAA Questioned By UST-CSC
The University of Santo Tomas Central Student Council (UST-CSC) has expressed their dismay over Mocha Uson’s award given by USTAA.
Previously, the UST Alumni Association has awarded Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Assistant Secretary Esther Margaux “Mocha” Uson with the Thomasian Alumni Award in Government Service.
Mocha Uson who’s a graduate of medical technology in UST has been awarded by UST Alumni Association Inc. for her service under the Duterte administration.
However, UST-CSC has issued a statement expressing their dismay over the award given to the PCOO assistant secretary.
The highest government of the university show their opposition to awarding Mocha Uson for being an avid spreader and cited of fake news.
The student council also said that Uson does not deserve the award, which was meant only for outstanding Thomasian Alumni.
UST-CSC was encouraging everyone to fight the proliferation of false information and fake news through being critical of every information they received even it came from a credible source.
Meanwhile, the social media users also expressed different reactions from the post opposing the UST-AAI’s decision to recognize Mocha Uson.

Bien Canonizado: “wait,ano ang basis kung bakit binigyan ng award si mocha? dihamak na mas marami namang karapatdapat sa kanya na tomasino at tomasina na ilang taon na sa government service at tahimik na naglilingkod? this is just wrong and stupid! nakakahiya!”
Joyce Melegrito: “ Honestly, I am just mad at the fact that Mocha Uson was given an award. I hope the truth shall prevail. Cheers to CSC! ??”
