Mildred de Guzman Complains About Fake P500 Bill Withdraw From BDO ATM

A netizen named Mildren de Guzman complains about the fake P500 bill she withdrew in an ATM of BDO Waltermart Guiguinto branch.

Nowadays, we can usually see netizens posting their sentiments and frustrations in the social media to spread awareness or gain the sympathy of others.

Recently, a Facebook user named Mildred de Guzman rants in the social media claiming of having a fake 500 peso bill she withdrew from an ATM of Banco De Oro (BDO).

Fake P500 Bill

The social media user narrated that they withdraw in an ATM of BDO Waltermart Guiguinto and went to Mercury Drugstore to buy the medicine of her mother and proceeded to Watson’s.

The cashier asked her for a smaller since her 500 peso bill seems a little bit suspicious at a closer look.

Guzman wonders how could it happen since the money came from the bank, however, the cashier showed the fake bill along with other original P500 bills.

Mildred immediately returned to the bank to complain but the management told them to return on the following day.

Unfortunately, BDO did not replace the fake bill explaining that their machine has scanner to detect fake money.

Here’s the full post:

“Yesterday January 14, at around 6:45 pm nagwithdraw ako sa ATM ng BDO Waltermart Guiguinto together with my mother. After withdrawing the money, diretso na kami sa Mercury Drug to buy my mom’s medicines then we proceeded to Watsons. Yung cashier sa Watsons asked if may smaller bill ako, I told him “Wala eh”. Then he told me na “Mam, parang suspicious po kasi yung 500 bill nyo”. Siyempre nag-react ako and told him “Paano nangyari yun, eh kakawithdraw lang namin ngayon? I showed him the rest of the money. He handed me the bill and I noticed na fake talaga siya. After paying, we immediately went back sa BDO bank. They were already closed pero there are still employees inside. I talked to the guard and showed him the fake money. Sinabi ko sa kanya na walang transaction receipt na available and he’s aware naman. He went inside to show it to the manager and told us to be back tomorrow. So yun, pinabalik kami kaya umasa kami na they will replace it. We went back sa BDO the following day. Pero di nangyari yung ineexpect namin. They told us na my scanner daw yung ATM nila and it can detect fake money and sort it out. I kept on explaining na paano nangyari na may nahalo dun sa nawithdraw ko kung ganun? When we went sa Waltermart last night, ang dala ko lang that time is my ATM card & my driver’s license, no cash kasi nga magwiwithdraw kami. We only had two transactions, one sa Mercury and the other one sa Watsons. And we are very sure na di napalitan yung pera na nawithdraw namin. After the long debate, BDO still didn’t replace the fake bill. We never thought this would happen, na sa mismong bangko manggagaling yung FAKE money. Parang di na safe magwithdraw sa ATM kasi di pala nila papalitan if may mahalong peke. Mas ok pa yatang mag over-the-counter na lang so you can check the money if may fake before leaving the counter. Nakapanghihinayang lang din kasi. 500 pesos rin yun! Di ko na sana ipopost ito, di ko rin naman ugaling mag rant on social media but I just want to share what happened to us. Sana wala nang iba pa na maka-experience nito and sana may gawin namang solusyon yung mga bangko.”
