Work Suspensions On Tuesday (January 9, 2018)
The Supreme Court Public Information Office has issued work suspensions on Tuesday (January 09, 2018) due to Traslacion of Black Nazarene.
Manila, Philippines – The offices in Manila trial courts including the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals, and trial courts of the first and second level in Manila will be suspended on Tuesday.
The works in government offices were also suspended by Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada for the celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene.
The Traslacion was also expected to cause traffic congestion and changes of the route over Metro Manila.
Over 19 million Filipino devotees are expected to attend and participate the series of activities during the annual event.
The Feast of the Black Nazarene is already a part of the Filipino culture and tradition, which is celebrated every year to express their devotion.
Fr. Fernando Coronel will preside over a mass, which will be held at the Quirino Grandstand around 12 midnight on January 9.
Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle will be the one who will deliver the homily.
The Traslacion of the Black Nazarene is set to start after the 5 am Morning Prayer from Luneta and will end at the Quiapo church.
