The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, that Tropical Depression Agaton is now traversing the Sulu Sea and heading toward Palawan.
According to an advisory issued by PAGASA at exactly 11:00 AM, Tropical Depression Tino was last spotted at 170 km West of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental (09.3 °N, 121.8 °E).
It has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph and is forecast to move West at 28 kph.

- Southern Antique
- Southern Iloilo
PAGASA warned the residents of Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Panay Island, Romblon, and Mindoro provinces for possible flashfloods and landslides due to scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains.
