Several domestic flights were cancelled on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, by the airport authorities due to Tropical Depression Agaton.

Meanwhile, according to the weather update issued by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), it stated that Tropical Depression Agaton is now over Southern Negros Oriental.

At 8:00 AM today, Agaton was spotted at 60 km West Southwest of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte (09.6 °N, 125.0 °E)at 60 km West Southwest of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte (09.6 °N, 125.0 °E).

It has maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph and is forecast to move West at 25 kph.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal Number 1 has been issued in Palawan including Cuyo Island, Bohol, Cebu, Siquijor, Guimaras, Negros Oriental, Negros Occidental, Southern Antique and Southern Iloilo.
