Heavy Rainfall Warning Issued By PAGASA In The Following Areas

The state weather bureau PAGASA has issued a heavy rainfall warning in different areas in the country, which might cause flash floods and landslides.

On Wednesday (December 27, 2017), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has raised heavy rainfall warning in some parts pf Mindanao Region due to Easterlies.

The rainfall warning has been released around 8:50 am on Tuesday to warn the residents of the affected areas to be alert on its possible effects.

Yellow Warning Level has been raised in the following areas:

Surigao del Sur

  • Hinatuan
  • Tagbina
  • Bislig
  • Lingig

Agusan del Sur

  • Trento
  • Santa Josefa
  • Bunawan
  • Loreto
  • La Paz
  • Rosario

Davao Oriental

  • Boston
  • Cateel
  • Baganga

Compostela Valley

  • Monkayo
  • Compostela
  • New Bataan

Basilan

PAGASA also said that the affected areas especially those living in low-lying areas could be affected by possible flooding.

Meanwhile, the public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take immediate appropriate action. They were also tasked to monitor the weather condition.
