Human Rights Group Remain Silent Despite Series Of Drug-Related Crimes

Human Rights Remains Silent Despite Consecutive Drug-Related Crimes, Andanar Says

The human rights group remains silent and did nothing despite the series of drug-related crimes in the country over the past few days.

Malacanang Palace has rebuked the human rights groups, one of the critics of President Rodrigo Duterte for remaining silent despite the numerous crimes happening in the country, which was probably related to illegal drugs.

The brutal murder of a bank employee in an abandoned building in Pasig City, rape case of the 17-year-old girl in General Santos, City, and other crimes are suspected as drug-related cases.

Presidential Communications Sec. Martin Andanar said that the human rights made no any noise regarding the consecutive drug-related crimes.

Andanar also cited President Duterte’s statement that the public should not point a finger on him if the drug-related crimes will increase again after dismissing the anti-illegal drug campaign and ‘oplan tokhang’ from Philippine National Police (PNP).

“Now, siguro antayin natin, siguro let’s have the naysayers, the opposition answer that question. Sa kanila dalhin, sila ang mag-solve ng problema. Alam mo kasi noong panahon na maingay iyong oposisyon sa operasyon ng Philippine National Police at itong sa operation nga ng tokhang at maingay iyong human rights groups. Kaya ang ating mahal na Pangulo ay napilitan na ilipat ang operasyon dito sa PDEA,” said by Andanar quoted by Philstar.

The PCOO executive also lambasted the critics of Duterte administration asking them if they could resolve the problems on their own with the help of PNP.
