Franco Hernandez, Isabel Granada Given Tributes During Star Awards For TV
FRANCO – Two celebrities who recently passed away, Hashtags member Franco Hernandez and singer-actress Isabel Granada, were given tributes by the awardees during the Philippine Movie Press Club (PMPC) Star Awards for TV 2017.
The entertainment industry grieves over the sudden passing of Hashtags Franco Hernandez, 26 years old, and former That’s Entertainment member Isabel Granada, 41-years-old.
Isabel died of a brain aneurysm in Doha, Qatar several days ago. Based on a report, Franco, on Saturday, died of drowning in Davao Occidental.
Based on a recent report in Pep, the two celebrities were given tributes during the recently-held PMPC Star Awards for TV 2017 at the Henry Lee Irwin Theater in Ateneo de Manila University.
It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda dedicated his Best Male TV Host award for Franco Hernandez.
Vice was in New Zealand during that time to attend the wedding of Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff. His award was received by Hashtags CK Kieron. He was joined by other Hashtags members on stage – Kid Yambao, Jimboy Martin, and Wilbert Ross.
According to the report, CK accepted the award on behalf of Vice and expressed that Vice dedicates it to their brother.
Kapamilya actor John Estrada was in a tie with Kapuso actor Alden Richards in the category ‘Best Single Performance By An Actor’ with his Maalaala Mo Kaya: “Mansanas at Juice”.
Based on the report, the actor dedicated his award to the late singer-actress Isabel Granada who was also one of the casts in the said MMK episode. According to John, Isa played as his character’s sister in the episode.
Aside from Vice Ganda and John Estrada, another celebrity dedicated his award to someone who is close to his heart. Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid who was awarded as ‘Best Drama Actor’ for his performance in Encantadia dedicated his awards to his late grandmother who died last month.
