OGIE ALCASID – The Kapamilya veteran OPM songwriter and singer Ogie Alcasid extends his contract with ABS-CBN and reveals plans on having a gag show.
The veteran singer and songwriter of the Original Pinoy Music Ogie Alcasid stayed being a Kapamilya as he extended his exclusive contract with the ABS-CBN for another two years.
Ogie Alcasid, aside from being a veteran singer of classic local music, is also a judge to several television competitions such as the Tawag ng Tanghalan sa It’s Showtime and he was among the critics of the first-ever kids’ edition of Your Face Sounds Familiar way back in 2016.
Upon the contract signing, it has been disclosed he will continue to be part of “Tawag ng Tanghalan,” “ASAP,” and will again be a judge for the planned new season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar.”
He shared, “Alam ko medyo iba ng konti yata ‘yung concept ngayon. Sobra kasi akong na-excite last year, matagumpay ‘yung aming programa so I’m really looking forward to the launch of the new season of Your Face Sounds Familiar. Syempre papakita tayo ulit ng mga bago nating mga kalokohan ‘dun. And at the same time, excited ako na makita kung sino ‘yung mga kalahok. I think teenagers ngayon. I’m not so sure.”

And as for his plan to do a gag show according to a report from the Philippine Ultimate Showbiz Hub (Push), he said that the plan has not been fully laid yet but he and Cory Vidanes are already talking about the matter.
“Oo, nag-uusap kami ni tita Cory (Vidanes) na. Nagbe-brainstorm na kami. Hindi naman namin pinababayaan ‘yun. Kailangan lang siguro tama ‘yung proyekto. At syempre kailangan magandang maganda. So ‘yun ‘yung pinag-uusapan pa namin,” he said.
Recalling, before he transferred to the Kapamilya network, he also came from a gag show in his previous network.
