WEATHER UPDATE – After Typhoon Odette has left the country, a new Low-Pressure Area (LPA) is set to enter the Philippines today according to PAGASA.
Typhoon Odette (international name Khanun) has just left the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
But now, according to a bulletin from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecaster Robb Gile, a new weather disturbance has been spotted and is expected to enter the country today or tomorrow.
According to a report from The Philippine Star, the said low-pressure area was spotted over the Pacific Ocean.
It was not forecasted to affect the country in the next three days.
The forecaster from the weather state bureau Robb Gile further added that the intertropical convergence zone would be bringing light to occasionally heavy rains in the following areas: Metro Manila, Bicol region, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western and Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula and the provinces of Tawi-Tawi, Sulu, and Basilan.
Metro Manila temperatures in the next three days will be ranging from 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will be experiencing isolated rain showers in the afternoon or evening because of the localized thunderstorms.
According to the source, Gile also indicated that the trough or extension of Odette still continue to dump rains in Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands yesterday as it made its way toward Southern China.
The seafarers and the fisherman are warned and advised by the weather state bureau of rough to very rough seas in northern and western seaboards of Northern Luzon, and the western seaboard of Central Luzon.
Possibly, PAGASA announced that at least one to two cyclones is to enter the country this month.
