JUDY ANN SANTOS – The veteran actress reveals what she and Rico Yan are supposed to do before the latter actor passed away.
Rico Yan and Claudine Barretto are indeed two of the biggest stars of their generation and when both on screen, they also make the biggest love team.
Claudine is the girlfriend of Rico Yan before the actor faced his untimely and unexpected death which received a nationwide grief and mourning.
Rico Yan died at the age of 27 on 2002. It was his friend Dominic Ochoa who found him lifeless inside his hotel room at the Dos Palmas Resort, Puerto Princesa City in Palawan.
The autopsy told that the cause of his death is a cardiac arrest caused by acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis while he was asleep or in terms of Pinoy, “bangungot”.
His funeral was telecast on national television and numerous tributes were also given to him.
However, aside from Claudine Barretto, one of his love teams is Judy Ann Santos.
One of their hit movies together is the Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay.
And before Rico Yan died, just recently, Judy Ann revealed something.
As per the video obtained from the YouTube channel of Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep), they are supposed to bring back their love team for another film.
Judy Ann shared, “At that time, before Rico passed, dapat comeback movie namin ni Rico yung part 2 ng Isusumbung [Kita sa Tatay Ko]. Yun yung original… Pero yun yung narinig ko na parang pagbabalik ng love team namin and then part two nga ng Isusumbong. Si tatay Ran [Fernando Poe Jr.] actually yung nakaisip na dapat si Rico yung maging partner. And then Rico passed and then FPJ passed. Ako na lang yung natira. So, wala nang magsusumbong, wala nang pagsusumbungan. Baka i-remake na lang ‘to!”
