Vice Ganda finally personally apologizes to Tony Calvento.
VICE GANDA – The Kapamilya comedian finally issued a personal apology to journalist Tony Calvento through public television.
Recently, the comedian and the journalist had been in a controversy over the joke of Vice Ganda to which he used the name of Tony Calvento.
The said issue all started during the Tawag ng Tanghalan when Vice Ganda gave some sort of advice to one of the contestants in a funny way but unintentionally mentioning the name of the journalist.
According to a previous report, the joke said, “Never be ashamed of your face. Yang mukha mo, ikaw ‘yan at maraming pagdadalhan ang mukhang yan. That is a gift, your face. Kahit gaano kalaki ‘yan kahit kamukha mo si Tony Calvento, mukha mo ‘yan kaya dapat proud ka.”
The report demanded a public apology, but due to some circumstances, it was Billy Crawford who outstretched the apology of Vice for he was in Korea.
An excerpt from the apology told, “Nais ko pong humingi ng paumanhin kay Mr. Tony Calvento sa pag kakabanggit ko ng kanyang pangalan sa interview ng isang semifinalist ng Tawag ng Tanghalan kahapon. Wala po akong intensyon na saktan or insultuhin kayo Mr. Calvento. Ang tanging intensyon ko ay magbigay ng payo sa aming contestant na magtiwala sa sarili at sa kanyang kakayahan. Again, my sincerest apologies, Mr. Tony Calvento.
Yet again, Tony seems not to be satisfied and so he set a deadline for Vice Ganda to issue a personal apology.
And so the host did the moment he returned to Kapamilya noon time show, Its Showtime, where he is one of the hosts.
The personal apology of the host told as it was posted on the Twitter account of the Showbiznest Lifestyle:
“Pasensiya na po kayo. I personally apologize. Pasensiya na kung naantala dahil ako’y nasa Korea. Gayun pa man, nakausap ko naman siya… tumawag naman ako sa kanya at nag-apologize ako personally. At eto, gusto ko pa ring gawin, pasensiya na po. I apologize
