Robin Padilla Donates Cash To Help Children Affected By Siege In Marawi City

The Filipino actor Robin Padilla has donated an amount of P5 million to the DSWD for the children in Marawi City affected by the crisis.

Robinhood Ferdinand “Robin” Cariño Padilla or Abdulaziz Padilla is a Filipino actor who has been known for his breath-taking role in numerous actions films and movie projects. He was also dubbed as the “Bad Boy” of the Philippine showbiz.

Aside from being a good actor, Padilla was also a proud Muslim ever since he was converted to Islam. The action star has already received numerous awards for his impressive acting skills in both movies and television shows.

On Wednesday (August 16, 2017), the 47-year-old has shown an act of generosity and love for his fellow Muslim as he donated an amount of P5 million to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the immediate psychological intervention of kids affected by the crisis in the beleaguered city of Marawi.

President Rodrigo Duterte has also witnessed Padilla’s helpful act towards the kids of the besieged city. Padilla’s donation was received by DSWD Undersecretary Emmanuel Leyco.

A netizen named Trisha Macas has uploaded the photos of Robin Padilla’s turnover of donation to DSWD. The photos have a caption of: “Duterte witnessed Robin Padilla turn over P5M to DSWD for the immediate psychological intervention of kids affected by Marawi siege.”

Frabelle Foods Corp. President Francisco Tiu Laurel, Jr., Fisheries Development Authority General Manager Glen A. Pangapalan, and Rommel Padilla joined the action star.

The ongoing conflict between the Maute Terror Group and the government forces in Marawi City has displaced around 400, 000 residents.
