According to the news report of theABS-CBN News, it was announced by Wanda Teo, the Tourism Secretary during the International Conference on Sustainable Tourism for Development on Thursday.

It was announce that the Miss Universe 2017 pageant will not be held in the Philippines.

Tourism chief said, “No Miss Universe this year. Baka next year.”

Based upon the previous report, the organization of the most prominent pageant offered the Philippines to host again because of the way the candidates are treated and accommodated.

France’s Iris Mittenaere was the one who got the crown succeeding Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach during previous Miss Universe pageant held in the Philippines.

Rachel Peters, the newly hailed Miss Universe Philippines during the Binibining Pilipinas will be the one to compete with other beauties coming from the different countries of the world.

But then, unfortunately, as per the announcement, Philippines will not hold the competition of beauty and brain among the most beautiful women of the world.

The held pageant on January was the most talked topic during the moment beating the prestigious sports event Super Bowl on the trend.

The report did not go into further and deeper details as to why the beauty contest will not be happening in the Philippines. But hopefully, in the most of probability for the next year, it will finally be here in the Philippines once again.
