NPA Attacks Police Station In Maasin Iloilo
The actual video of the NPA while attacking a police station in Maasin, Iloilo goes viral after it was posted in the social media.
On Saturday (June 17, 2017), the New People’s Army (NPA) launched an attack on a police station in Maasin, Iloilo a day after 82IB of the Philippine Army left. About 40 armed men have raided the police station, according to some reports.
PDI told Provincial board member Emmanuel Gallar who visited Maasin that around 70 heavily armed men attacked the police station in the town of Maasin about 10:30 am. The rebels took countless numbers of firearms and a patrol car before evading their escape.
Maasin Mayor Mariano Malones has confirmed the story of Gallar and said that no one was harmed in the said incident. PDI reported that 5 policemen on duty were handcuffed and wrote that NPA gives statements to the residents before heading to Alimodian, Iloilo.
The rebels arrived riding a dump truck near the police station and parked it. A concerned netizen was able to record a video footage of the incident using his camera phone inside the building where he was hiding.
The 3-minute and 30-second video immediately goes viral after it was posted in the social media on Sunday (June 18, 2017). The viral video garnered 224k views, 3.1k reactions, 3, 585 shares, and 381 comments as of this post.
