Remember Diether Ocampo? Here’s the Reason Why He Left Showbiz

Remember Diether Ocampo?

He came to prominence as one of the members of “The Hunks,” which became popular in the early 2000s.

The Hunks is an all-male group composed of Ocampo along with prominent stars including Carlos Agassi, Bernard Palanca, Piolo Pascual and Jericho Rosales.

Many became fascinated with Diether Ocampo’s charming looks and alluring physique.

Diether Ocampo also starred in big television series including “Sana’y Wala Ng Wakas” starring Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa and “Mula Sa Puso,” with Claudine Barretto and late Rico Yan.

He also became a co-host of the country’s longest-running Sunday noontime show, ASAP.

In 2011, Diether Ocampo made national headlines when he announced that he has already a child, a 7-year-old boy named Dream.

Although he did not reveal the identity of his son’s mother, many believed that Dream is his son to his former beau, a non-showbiz girl.

Diether Ocampo left showbiz for a couple of years.

But in 2016, he returned to the limelight via defunct TV5 series, “Bakit Manipis Ang Ulap.”

Many were surprised that he decided to return in showbiz world through ABS-CBN rival network since he has been known as a mainstay actor of Kapamilya.

At present, he is busy in managing a charity called (Kabataang Inyong Dapat Suportahan Inc.) which he established since 2006. This has been pointed as the reason why he has been inactive in limelight.
