Beauty queen-turned-actress Anjanette Abayari came to prominence when she first won the title as Bb. Pilipinas Universe 1991.
She also gained stardom when she appeared on strings of popular Filipino movies such as “Halik ng Bampira,” “Asucena” “Hindi Lahat ng Ahas ay Nasa Gubat,” “Tubusin mo ang Bala ng Puso Ko,” and “Ang Probinsyano.”
She also portrayed the role of the iconic superheroine, Darna in 1994.
However, her showbiz career was placed on hiatus due to drug issue. She was arrested in 1999 for possession of “shabu” at an airport in Guam.
She stayed in the United States during that time because she was banned from re-entering the country.
But in 2015, she returned to the Philippines, after 15 years.
Anjanette Abayari has been visiting the country once in a while now.
However, she did not divulge if she’s going to return to show business. But she is not closing her doors to venture in the world of entertainment.
