THAILAND – A street vendor in Thailand had discovered a new and efficient way to cook the chicken and it suddenly became a big hit.
The street side vendor Sila Sutharat, 60 years old, from the province of Phetchaburi in Thailand discovered a unique way to cook the chicken and it is through under the burning heat of the sun.
Based on the report of the Inquirer Net, the province is a two-hour ride away from Bangkok and he had found a new way to give his customers a different taste of his cooking through using the power of the sun.
As mentioned on the report stated above, he uses a wall of nearly a thousand movable mirrors. What’s impressing is that he made and built the device himself.
The rays of the sun is focused on a row of marinated chicken that sizzles under the intense heat.
This peculiar method of cooking has been questioned by a lot of people but he just said, ‘”They said that I’d gone mad, that cooking chicken like this was impossible. After a long time passed by, they’d say: ‘Actually, you could do it.”
This idea had struck him when the heat from the window of a passing bus reflected unto him and he thought of the possibility of turning it into energy. And with tropical climate of Thailand, the sun is totally free, clean and a sustainable energy source.
The process of this peculiar culinary method is because of the burning heat that is generated by a solar reflector. The solar chicken only takes 12 minutes to be cooked through.
A video of Sutharat’s way of cooking had gathered attention from a lot of people thus, people from the Thailand have made their way to his stall to taste the chicken.
