Tricycle Driver and Passenger Fight After Arguing Over P15 Fare
A tricycle driver and a passenger got into a physical fight after having a simple disagreement over P15 fare in Kabankalan City.
On Friday morning (March 20, 2026), a simple disagreement over a small fare turned into a physical fight between a tricycle driver and a passenger in front of the public market. The incident happened around 11:30 a.m., drawing the attention of people nearby.
The supposed short ride quickly became tense when the passenger paid P15, which he believed was the correct fare. However, the driver asked for an additional P5, insisting that the total fare should be P20.

According to a witness named Rose Marie Llena, she saw the situation unfold right before her eyes. The passenger had come from a 7/11 store near a local hospital and handed over P15 after reaching the destination.
However, the driver was not satisfied and demanded more. The passenger refused to give the extra amount, which led to an exchange of harsh words.
The passenger eventually struck the driver, which prompted the driver to fight back. The two ended up exchanging punches in public, causing a scene that alarmed bystanders in the busy area.

Concerned citizens tried to step in and stop the fight before it got worse. Not long after, local police officers arrived at the scene to take control of the situation and address the conflict.
Many people who witnessed the fight were left shaken, hoping that both parties would learn to handle disagreements more calmly in the future.
