The children of single mothers spoke their side.
CHILDREN – The kids of those strong woman who raised their children even without their biological father on their side expressed their deep and inspiring sentiments.
The remark of Senator Vicente ‘Tito’ Sotto III while he was questioning Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Judy Taguiwalo has undeniably sparked reports and reactions.
Based on a previous news report, there was even a single mother’s daughter who wrote an open letter to the Senator over his statement which he later tagged as a form of a “joke”.
Recently, a news article in Inquirer entailed the sentiments of the kids of the ‘na ano lang’ mothers. The statements were compiled by Pam Pastor.

According to Martin Francis Tee Ten, a single mother brought him up and the values of respect and responsibility were two of those that his mother has taught her.
He expressed that Filipinos really need to grow and as well as ask for more from the leaders of the government.
According to Raphael Francis Tee Ten, he believes that women should be commended instead of dishonored. He expressed his hope that it would come to the people’s realization that women are strong individuals.
Their mother, Ruby Gan, stated that there are Filipino women who are not happy with the marriage anymore but are scared of what the people might say if they’ll leave. She tagged the “na ano” line as “insulting”.
A daughter of another single mom also gave her side. According to Erika Pelayo, being a single mom does not make a woman “less morally fit”. She stated that it is only a proof of their strength as they were able to handle the duties supposedly played by the father.
“To mom and other single mommies, thank you for raising us and for teaching us to respect others, something that Tito Sotto clearly doesn’t do,” Erika stated based on the article.
Two children of single mothers, Macky del Rosario and Kira Jorgio, also shared how their moms raised them.
According to Macky, his mother gave him and his siblings not just the things they need but as well as those they wanted. She always supports him and she “tries her best to be the perfect parent.”
Kia shared that it is her mother who accompanies her whenever their school teacher would tell them to bring their families to school. She stressed that her mother worked very hard to give her needs.
“Until now, she is queen in my eyes,” she stated based on the article.
